Urinals convince with their simple design, fast and contactless urination. Within the public space, they are still characterised by a patriarchal society which pays too little attention to universal needs. The design of toilets and urinals is not ergonomically adapted to people with a vulva, making it difficult for them to use public sanitary facilities. urinall is an all-gender urinal that offers contactless use regardless of genitalia. Following the principle “form follows function”, this design is adapted in height, angle and shape to the needs of all genders. urinall functions without water, and used toilet paper is disposed of in a separate receptacle. Not only does this save valuable water, it also allows for the separate collection of urine, which enables recovery of the finite raw material phosphorus – a fundamental nutrient for plant growth. urin*all is intended to complement and not replace the existing lavatory experience.
