The plissé capsule collection was born out of my never-ending curiosity and quest to find new ways to work with leather and led to an intriguing experiment involving plissé. The exploration of a new technique through an artform almost extinct in its original form, working with a patient craftswoman who, against time and industrial pressure, keeps the tradition of pleating by hand alive. The plissé pieces will be released to coincide with Art Basel and will complement our long-lasting, ever-changing collection.

Yvonne Reichmuth’s long-standing interest and passion for leather led her to found the eponymous brand YVY, which celebrates the art of leathercraft and explores new techniques while staying true to its minimalist aesthetic. In 2022, following a journey of curiosity, a collaboration commenced with craftswoman Eva Ott to create a capsule collection that combines hand pleating with leatherwork. The resulting collection, A Timeless Craft, A Labour of Love showcases the beauty of combining traditional craft with today’s zeitgeist. Each piece is crafted by hand, creating an architectural aesthetic that embraces the wearer’s curves. The sensual interplay of the soft, flowing fabric and the structured geometry of the leather pieces creates a unique and empowering feeling, further enhancing the transformative nature of YVY’s work. • The carefully curated collection consists of modular clothing and accessories that offer versatility in styling, each a labour of love that celebrates timeless craftsmanship.
