Maya Rochat’s project Poetry of the Earth merges organic and artificial worlds through monumental installations, inspired by the vitality of nature. Utilising innovative backlit images since 2021, she combines inkjet printing on transparent film with polarising filters, creating dynamic visual experiences. The artworks, crafted in Switzerland with local materials, use overhead projectors and slides to transform small negatives into larger pieces. They engage viewers in active contemplation, exploring the interplay of light, pattern and depth. Rochat’s work transcends traditional visual art, delivering a profound sensory experience through a fusion of technology and organic elements.
