The golden galaxy: The customer requested a textile wallcovering to match his existing interior, the style of a 9 m long galaxy without a repeat. To print this three-color design with gold, screen print was the only option. Due to its size, there is no machine able to print this, so we did it 100% manually. A full-manual print in this size and accuracy has, according to our knowledge, never been done until now. We accepted the challenge and succeeded.
Three-dimensional textile print: To create a three-dimensional effect on a textile for fashion, we used high-expanding puff paste – water-based as usual, of course. We developed a print technique for naive flowers as well as industrial designs inspired by concrete structures.
Four-dimensional structure print: Finding a fourth dimension sounds like a challenge. However, the solution was found across the border in Munich with the company GRDXKN. The integrated, volume-forming material is abrasion-resistant and shock-absorbent (tested). This creates a novel interplay between graphics and structure. Function and design are elevated to a common level.
Print on sequins: Prints on sequins have become a very common thing and as such are not a novelty. Using digital or transfer printing techniques, it is fairly easy to achieve a beautiful product. Over several years, we developed a method for adding pastes to sequins, giving them a haptic surface feeling and additionally fulfilling all of the fashion industry’s quality requirements.
