Alina Günter offers an insight into her work as an illustrator: a selection of works from various projects—mainly for magazines and newspapers—as well as personal projects.
When she first became self-employed, her focus was on realistic pencil and coloured pencil drawings. As these images were often very time-consuming, she developed a digital style that allows her more freedom in image finding and composition. This style is now used for most of her commissions.
What particularly fascinates Günter about her work as an illustrator is the challenge of translating complex text content into concise and expressive images. She concentrates on clear and reduced illustrations that not only convey content but also evoke emotions. Her goal is to create images that go beyond their pure function as illustrations—works that communicate independently and impress with their simplicity and conciseness.
